{"id":4269,"date":"2023-12-30T18:21:03","date_gmt":"2023-12-30T18:21:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/travel.ribo.it\/?p=4269"},"modified":"2025-01-14T14:01:32","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T14:01:32","slug":"culture-doesnt-stop-for-bergamo-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/travel.ribo.it\/en\/blog-en\/culture-doesnt-stop-for-bergamo-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2026Culture never stops for Bergamo 2024!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&#8216;<strong>Bergamo Italian Capital of Culture 2023&#8242;<\/strong> recently ended on the 19th of December, together with the &#8216;Donizetti Theatre Season&#8217;, the undisputed protagonist of cultural and music entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this occasion, Bergamo has been defined as a &#8216;culturally rich city, being able to express itself through numerous and different artistic events&#8217;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to recent statistics, <strong>Bergamo tourism<\/strong> increased at 60% of visitor interest during spring and summer (against 55% of previous 5 years) with tourists coming from Lombardy, respectively followed by Valle d&#8217;Aosta, Sicily, Trentino Alto-Adige and Lazio regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2023 Bergamo&#8217;s<strong> tourism promotion<\/strong> increased thanks to: digital news and local newspapers, easy accessibility to the city and good weather conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides, here are further main factors which contributed to these positive results: Brescia city collaboration, the inauguration ceremony and above all, the variety of cultural events and programs. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At international level, 82% of tourists were interested in Bergamo more than other italian cities. Among these visiting countries we find Asia as the protagonist with Taiwan, followed by Japan and Hong Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not to forget China, in terms of numbers among the top ten international States and Vietnam.
