Bergamo ‘City of Jazz’…takes the green

Since 2020, the world of music has promoted sustainability in a more responsible way, so that jazz has been represented as an ‘environmentally friendly’ social participation. On this occasion, it is fundamental to highlight Bergamo ‘Italian Capital of Culture 2023’ as a ‘City of Jazz’ too.

On this purpose, Bergamo active cooperation with public and private organizations, support eco-sustainability at global level, saving energy, optimizing waste management, green mobility and low-carbon emissions, km. zero food production, organic and recyclable merchandising.

The promotion of culture and music festivals is essential to inform residents and tourists about the significant impact of ‘green criteria’ during events, protecting the environment against pollution.

Nowadays, participating at Bergamo Jazz Festival 2023 means, above all, contributing to sustainable principles in a positive and practical way.

On this purpose, event tickets are available at special price, including visits to museums, like the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo for example, or again, tickets for other concerts to support culture and tourism at national and international level.

Before and after the first international Bergamo Jazz Festival in 2006, jazz musicians have approached innovative styles, being influenced by well-known international artists who constantly keep this music genre up-to-date, nowadays so different from its beginning in 1969.

Thanks to the International Jazz Day, Bergamo supports eco-sustainability, promoting its local territory where music merges with nature, enhancing their quality and specific characteristics.
