London 2022: Christmas LED lights and sights

Finally, from the unfortunately well-known pandemic year 2019, Christmas lights return to illuminate London even more efficiently and sustainably!
This metropolis, together with New York and Tokyo, is a unique destination for the Christmas season, attracting many tourists since November, with the ‘Black Friday’ shopping.
According to the city’s most recent statistics, while for 2021 the number of arrivals was below the pre-pandemic level due to the lock-down, January 2022 began with 46% of 2019’s 1 million 382 thousand visitors, while it rose to 50% in February.
From these data it emerges that tourism in the metropolis has been on the rise since the beginning of 2022, estimating a total of 630,000 visitors, thanks to the improved national and international health conditions.
The West End and surrounding areas are the main destination for visiting London’s major attractions illuminated in this festive atmosphere. Obviously, don’t forget the traditional shopping streets!
Oxford Street, an icon of London shopping par excellence, offers discounts and advantageous prices especially for clothing, but in style and trendy.
The shop windows stand out for their festive themed creations, even if you just stop in front of the Selfridges department store and, continuing to walk along the street, you will be dominated by 5,000 sustainable LED luminous stars!
In fact, 100% of these are recyclable and reusable in the future. Their limited ignition will allow you to save energy, about 2/3 compared to past years!
Regent Street, on the other hand, is for the most sophisticated and luxury shopping. You’ll also find 45 ‘Christmas Spirits’ in thousands of LED lights above shops all along the street, some of the most lavish displays in the UK!
