Let the humanoid ground assistants begin!

Do you usually travel or would you like to travel, but would you like continuous ideal assistance at the airport? Robots are no longer an abstract project of the future!

These are already able to carry out check-ins and provide different types of information to passengers such as: directions, flight connections, departures and arrivals, even currency exchange!

The automatic solution certainly greatly facilitates people’s comfort and services during travel, especially by air, as this can create conditions of stress and difficulty.

The first victims are above all those who do not travel often or who are unable to communicate in more or less remote countries in the world.

A robot that helps carry luggage or gives information and directions to the passenger, encourages speed and efficiency at the airport, improving the conditions of movement of people at check-in and at the gates.

This avoids significant airport overcrowding, especially during holiday periods, when strikes, delays and flight cancellations often occur.

For these purposes, in 2016, the KLM airline tested ‘Spencer’, a robot that scans and checks passports and also acts as a guide to travelers at the airport.

In Tokyo, another humanoid called ‘Nao’ speaks three languages, gives weather information, flight times and directions to the gates.

In Korea, however, 15 different types of robots are being tested aimed at: floor cleaning, luggage transport and passenger assistance. Not only that, others in addition for: security checks, food service and airport lounge assistance.

By 2021, Humanoid Staff will have replaced some of today’s routine staff work, eliminating up to 6% of human-led jobs in the United States. Over the next 30 years, this robotic replacement is predicted to cause more than 50% unemployment globally.
