Lake Iseo: an eco-sustainable success

The national naturalistic beauties and those closest to us are, together with the promotion of small Italian villages and city centres, part of the program in favor of the eco-sustainability of the territories.

The theme of conservation of the environment and its natural heritage also supports local culture and art in its different expressions and representations.

An environment conducive to respect for nature also allows us to best welcome and transmit to numerous tourists the knowledge and awareness of being a ‘responsible’ part of the place they are visiting.

The promotion of the Lake Iseo area is a clear example of success at an eco-sustainable and even international level, almost 1.5 million people, representing a local artistic event, like that of its author Christo, the Floating Piers’, with total respect for the surrounding nature.

At the same time, the continuous tourist presence was controlled by being able to distribute visitors across the territory and avoiding overcrowding of typical mass tourism in limited open areas.

Lake Iseo, which includes the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia, has seen an increase in tourist numbers in the area, showing statistics of cultural and landscape interest of +46%, almost on a par with the famous Lake Garda, +54 %.

This destination fits perfectly into the scheduled event: ‘Bergamo-Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023’. An excellent solution for these Easter holidays 2022, a day trip or weekend trip!
