Happy summer from the island of Hokkaido!

On the island of Hokkaido in Japan, the uncontaminated nature, local culture and tradition differ from the frenzy of Japanese life in the 20th century, making this place a niche tourism destination yet to be discovered.
The colorful fields of wild flowers and expanses of tulips, poppies, lavender and sage are neatly distributed with precision, forming geometric lines.
In Furano and Biei the union of the artistic sense of ‘landscape design’ with the ‘open space’ or outdoor place is thus best represented.
Visits to the flower fields, but not only that, also to other plantations, such as fruit or rice, are an opportunity for tourists to learn about the tradition of the entire process of the growth phases of the plants, directly visiting the farms and observing the farmers at work.
In summer, with the Flower Festivals, design and art in Hokkaido are also expressed in nature, in a distinctive and at the same time eco-sustainable way. In Hokuryu, the popular Sunflower Festival is another signature example.
