Don’t miss it, ‘Fico 2018’ will take you by the throat!

Since 2017, recently opened, ‘Fico Eataly World’ has been defined as the ‘largest food park in the world’, as it presents the biodiversity of Italian natural products linked to their place of origin.

‘Fico’ or the ‘Italian Farmer Factory’ promotes the Italian food and wine heritage. So visit this exhibition space, a 20,000 m2 farm, a few km from Bologna!

Every day entry is free until 11pm and two comfortable shuttles take you to your destination: one leaving from Bologna airport, the other from the city centre. Furthermore, remember that on Saturday evenings it remains open until midnight!

October is one of the months full of initiatives, with presentations of local products, events, wine tastings and Emilian and Italian cooking courses and much more!

There is also a space dedicated to entertainment for adults and children with interactive rides and multimedia paths, educational, art, dance and sports courses throughout the year, even wellness areas await you for a moment of relaxation!

In this ‘Food Park’, you also have the opportunity to do ‘organic’ shopping, even by bicycle. Find fresh products at the market and in gastronomic shops that represent the experience of Italian producers and growers. You can choose the products and even have them shipped to you!

Furthermore, around forty restaurants, bistros and street-food counters await you to taste the products of 40 local and regional peasant factories, which present a variety of meats, fish, dairy products, desserts, pasta, beer etc… Italian biodiversity, not only Emilian!

‘Fico’ wants to continue to enhance and promote the food and wine art and beauty of the Italian territory, showing everyone, locals, foreign and Italian tourists, the combination of 53 UNESCO heritage sites in Italy with the biodiversity of local products.
