A day tour to discover in-depth Basso Sebino’s territory surrounding Lake Iseo. Here are the typical villages of Sarnico and Paratico, two small tourist centres strategically connected by a bridge. Sarnico is one of the recently acclaimed 'most beautiful italian villages', with its precious Liberty Villas by the lake.
Here, the elegant and asymmetrical Art-Nouveau architecture merges with nature, as real and stylish landscape artworks using dynamic lines, plant and flower shapes. Sarnico is also where the famous Riva Shipyard took place, constructing classy yachts and boats, renowned at national and international level.
- Sarnico is an original fishing and craft village overlooking Lake Iseo. It is characteristic for its Contrada, the historic centre which includes medieval tower-houses and ancient buildings in lakeside territorial context.
- Visit the village, the Church of S. Paolo built on castle ruins, with frescoes from the XV Century, the Baroque Church of S. Martino de Tours, the small square and the Clock Tower dating back the 12th century. Visit the Bellini Art Gallery placed in the former convent Palazzo Gervasoni containing 150 works of art dating back the XV-XVII Century.
