Best Destinations Europe summer 2020?

Despite the threat of recent ‘travel corridors’ or ‘holiday corridor’ connections favored between neighboring nations due to little risk of Covid_19 contagion, Italy does not want to remain excluded from summer 2020 tourism.

The imminent reopening of the air transport sector has the intention of denying previous government agreements ‘pro-air bridges’ and also including the nations most affected by the pandemic in Europe, such as: Italy, Spain and France.

At an international level, Italy is still presented among the favorite destinations especially for the United States, with the great cities of art such as Rome, Florence and Venice, according to the major American newspapers.

What is also encouraged, unlike previous years, is the inclusion of other lesser-known alternative Italian destinations, to the detriment of mass tourism and in favor of sustainable tourism.

Certainly with a positive impact on the environment and slow-tourism, there are also projects in defense of the preservation of Venice and its local culture which is still in danger due to the economic crisis caused by the pandemic and with a city which, since the Second World War , found itself halved in the number of its inhabitants to a total of around only 60,000 units.

Here we find, in fact, among the top ten summer 2020 proposals, advertised and preferred in the USA, an eco-sustainable character: Venice and the cities of Veneto and Friuli, among which Trieste stands out, then again Bologna, Parma and the Romagna coast, the Amalfi Coast, the areas of Cilento and Salento, Puglia, Sicily, Sardinia, Genoa and the Cinque Terre.

Tourism to Italy seems to resist any adversity! As recent statistics support, in addition to Greece, Portugal, Slovenia and Croatia, Italy, Spain and France are now also present at an international level.

After a careful analysis of the market, the tourism sector in a futuristic post-pandemic perspective is therefore in favor of: sustainability, digitalisation, eco-friendly transport, as well as greater attention and safety towards the traveler during travel and holidays.
