Bergamo-Brescia 2023: beyond all expectations!

Thanks to a wide range of projects and events scheduled (about 500), ‘Bergamo-Brescia 2023’ is the ‘Italian Capital of Culture’, a great opportunity to support these two cities, as per the ‘2020 Recovery Plan’.
After Covid-19 for instance, ‘Parma Italian Capital of Culture 2020’ reported -59% of arrivals comparing to +33% for Matera 2019.
On this year, new initiatives aim to make Bergamo and Brescia one and only ‘metropolitan hub’, ideally conceived as the ‘Enlightened City of the future’, strengthening mutual collaboration and promoting different cultural-artistic activities and landscape, food and wine qualities.
Despite the variety of tourism and culture proposals these two different cities offer, everybody aim to continue and collaborate even after 2023. In addition, Italian mass-media are now advertising this popular event…but not only!
According to the New York Times, Bergamo and Brescia rank number 47 out of 50 as ‘Best places to visit in 2023’ at international level, while London conquers the first position, thanks to the ‘Royal Family and Brexit news’.
In particular, Bergamo and Brescia represent one and only ‘Enlightened City’ to highlight the beauty of different open spaces and monuments, proposing walking or biking tours to discover the variety of territories, cultural places and tourism attractions.
Furthermore, top music festivals and art exhibitions also represent strong opportunities to promote cultural activities, to develop domestic as well as international tourism in these two cities, rising visitors’ interest too.
